crispy on the outside, cool and creamy on the inside

kiel: soooooore

kie: trois-cent trente-quatre

kio: rhcp: breaking the girl (again).  i stopped the playlist at this one last time i blogged, and i just had to hear it again.  love it love it.

i spent this past weekend in walkerton, virginia at sarah crawford's house.  11 of us went, in toto: sam, stephanie, sarah p, sarah c, pete, myself, dave morrow, heather, scot, glenn, and éric.  all people who i have absolutely no problem being around.  i wish sarah (goonan) could have gone, she would have had the time of her life.

anyway, there was water-skiing, kayaking, toobing, swimming, nudity (well, not that much nudity, but enough to want more :) ),  food, dancing, oh man it was great.

i, however, got a pretty bad sunburn.  "do you have sunblock on, tom?" "no, but i'll be ok... remember i said that"

yeah.  the camera has some weird color bias issues, so this isn't exactly an accurate representation, but man is it sore.

i covered éric's 10:00 tour today cause we got back so late last night and he hadn't started his problem set yet.  éric and i are becoming increasingly close, which is good since we're going to spend 3 weeks in france together.  we really click, it's neat.   i'm glad i'm getting to know him better.

by the way, this weekend, éric caught a frisbee while waterskiing.  awesome.

in lab news, i got my sequences back and all but 1 of them needs to be done over.  grrr.  the reasoning is complicated, and it's not really my fault. however, i fear that this project has been cursed from the beginning and was never really meant to happen.  *crossing fingers* i hope that's not true.

tonight's cooking adventure: tuna pasta & cheese.  word on the outcome later.  but now, bon app!
