picture this:
you, i, and a few other writers are in a brainstorming meeting with a big-time producer. pizza on the table, half-empty two liters of coke distributed in office-style styrofoam cups. you just finish taking a big bite out of your cup, when someone says:
'okay, you know the book treasure island? okay, how about we set that in SPACE and call it TREASURE PLANET!'
silence.
the producer replies:
'when can we start?'
okay now i got that out of my system. i just saw a commercial for disney's next cash cow and had to let that go.
recently i've been drinking a glass of wine every night. it's rather relaxing. and supposedly good for you. though i doubt any studies included franzia chillable red. that's the name. it doesn't even include the type of grape. it's just chillable red. at least they're honest.
okay the verb: to side.
as in put up siding.
i side. yesterday i sided? i have sided?
i side. yesterday i sid? i have sidden?
dictionary.com says sided. but i think it should be analagous to hide, since they both come from old/middle english. these are the kinds of things i think about.
ok. so baltimore actors is doing the following productions in the next two months: oklahoma, babes in toyland, and jekyll and hyde. guess who is in all three. yeah. and i'm not saying that to brag, although i have been known to have a bit of a swagger. it's that i TOLD them NO! then they were like oh please oh please we NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED you. well, that's sort of a lie. i almost got out of babes in toyland. til i found out that i was going to be given the lead. now the show takes place at the kraushaar auditorium at goucher. now this auditorium is huge. and apparently babes is a major baltimore event and all 3 shoes (2 saturday, one sunday) get sold out. i just couldn't say no, even though that week i have a molecular evolution presentation, a thermo exam, and a biochem exam and mol. ev. paper due that following monday. yay!
so yeah originally i was supposed to play will for one show and that was that. well, now i'm going to play ali hakim, the peddler, in 4 shows, and possibly will parker in others. yeesh.
law & order was good tonight. it was about a court-appointed defense lawyer that gets whacked by a white-supremacist group. i love that show. and also, elisabeth röhm is hot. i hope she sticks around. grrowr. the people call for remand. without clothes!

i am rather pleased with this entry. i seem to have regained my random journalvoice.
