from the vegetarian nuptials dept: i went to a wedding on saturday in lovely saratoga springs, ny. it was a vegetarian wedding so neil (my ride from syracuse onward) and i and sarah loaded up on meat at dinosaur bar-b-q in syracuse before neil drove me to saratoga springs. (gwuh?! what about sarah?! yeah, i was what you might call a "+1" for this particular wedding. it was totally cool though, it was all these barnstormer people from hopkins and i kind of know keelye (the bride) but certainly not enough to get invited to her wedding but i do know robin, who was invited, but not like "know" in the biblical sense or anything like that, i mean we had separate boy and girl hotel rooms [for the most part] and anyway sarah was totally cool with it.) anyway, the wedding was at a very nice place and the dj spun some fly tunes and the drinks and conversation were plentiful so it was a real good time. it's really great to have friends that you can just not see for like a year and a half, then pick up right where you left off. on a somewhat related topic, my current favorite synonym for drunk is "shit-canned."

from the close encounters with nature dept: as i was walking home from the lab just now (around 3 am, but don't worry it's not baltimore.) a whole bunch of deer jumped out of the woods and scared the ever-loving crap out of me. they ran like right in front of me. so i decided to update my blog before i fall aslzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
