summery summary
kie: the lab-or-a-tory (this is the first time i haven't blogged from my room in a long time)
kiel: sleepy and/or bored
kio: various tracks from "a folding sieve" by should, a group that marc is in. he and his brother actually own the record label.
well summer: phase ii has officially begun, and that means work work work.
future plans: i am seriously considering staying a fifth year and getting a masters in chemical engineering before pursuing a PhD program. the reasoning behind this is multi-fold.
1) opportunity to get grades up in advanced classes, thereby increasing chances of admission into a respectable program.
2) keep working with marc doing research that i like
3) an advanced degree in one extra year.
4) it's half tuition!
5) don't have to take gre's!
the list goes on. the parents are cool with it and marc highly recommends it. now all i have to do is get accepted to the program :-p
so the car issue is resolved. my dad test drove the elantra and put a deposit down on it immediately. the guy had come down to $2500 from $5000 so it was pretty much a done deal. even though my loyalty will always be to german cars, i figure i can drive this bok choy mobile around for a couple years and then sell it at book value and either break even or maybe make a profit. thing is i gotta somehow find the money to pay for it.
summer reading list:
el ingenioso hidalgo don quijote de la mancha (pt.1)
el ingenioso caballero don quijote de la mancha (pt.2)
any suggestions? don quijote will take a good amount of time, what with the 1200 pages and it being in spanish and all. but i do have a lot of down time at the lab waiting for things, etc. so some reading might be nice for a little stimulation.
well my gel is done and somebody else needs the computer. toodles.
