my work is finished

kie: november echo bravo 141
kiel: satisfied
kio: secret agent

well, songs for a new world is officially over, and i had a really great time with it. i saw kateri and diana's true talents emerge and i saw a level of confidence (and talent!) in curt that i've never seen before. and emily and andrew are just amazing.

we got "reviewed" by the news-letter on monday of tech week (after we'd only been in the theatre maybe 3 times), even before DRY TECH. the n-l guy was supposed to come and talk to people about the show and say that the show would be on this date at this time and these people are in it. at the time, we were having a non-dress semi-tech run-thru and he took it upon himself to review what he saw (some of act 1).

yeah. anyone who saw the show (and many thanks to the 100 or so people who did) know that most of the "review" is patently untrue. particularly this gem:
"The ensemble's vocals as a whole also sound very flat. Mansell, however, stood out as being consistently out of tune for the entire performance. "

everyone knows that i am out of tune only about three-quarters of the time, and that i am hardly ever consistent.

overall i am very happy with all the work put in by the cast, crew, and production team. and vince devlin (a freshman, by the way) can eat me.

anyway, i have to run to a SAC GA in about 2 minutes. all in all, songs for a new world was awesome, whether you liked it or not.
